About Me
Hi, I'm Samyak Jain - a software engineer and open-source contributor focused on building reliable systems, scalable infrastructure, and community-driven software.
I work at the intersection of backend engineering, release engineering, and open-source operations, where precision, automation, and collaboration matter. My work spans building production services, managing large-scale Linux releases, and mentoring contributors across global communities.
Beyond code, I actively contribute to and lead open-source initiatives, speak at international conferences, and enjoy simplifying complex systems into processes people can trust. I value clarity, ownership, and long-term impact — whether that's in software, infrastructure, or communities.
Currently, I'm acting as Fedora Release Engineering Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Red Hat. I've also been a Google Summer of Code participant with Debian, and I'm an open-source enthusiast who loves to travel, cook, and talk about life.

Beyond Code
When I'm not building systems or contributing to open source, I enjoy traveling to new places, experimenting with cooking, and having meaningful conversations about life, technology, and everything in between. I believe good systems are built not just with code, but with trust, documentation, and people who care.
